LASER CUTTING PRICES

How much does laser cutting cost?

The honest answer: it depends on six things — and most shops make you wait days to find out what they add up to. We built the alternative: upload your STEP or DXF file and see your exact per-part price in seconds, free, before you talk to anyone.

Free, no signup needed. STEP or DXF.

Every quote is manufacturability-verified before you see the price — not a form that emails you back tomorrow.

The six things that set the price

Every laser-cut part's price comes down to these drivers — the same ones our pricing engine computes when you upload a file.

Material and thicknessThe sheet itself is often the largest cost. Thicker material costs more to buy and cuts slower — carbon steel is the baseline, stainless and aluminum price higher per kilogram.
Cut length and piercesThe laser is priced by the geometry it actually travels: total cut length plus every pierce point. Many small holes cost more than one big opening of the same area.
Quantity and nestingMore parts nest more efficiently on the sheet and amortize setup — the per-part price drops as quantity rises, and the quote shows it immediately.
BendsEach bend line adds press-brake time. Bends are priced per part from the actual 3D geometry, not estimated from a drawing.
Welding and finishWelding is priced per joint (grind-flush optional), powder coat by part size. Both appear as visible line items in the quote.
Shipping or pickupCarrier rates are quoted live by destination at checkout — or pick up at our Querétaro plant for $0.

Why "per hour" rates don't answer your question

Nested laser-cut parts on a sheet — nesting efficiency is one of the six price drivers

Shops often quote laser time by the hour — but an hourly rate tells you nothing about what YOUR part costs until someone at that shop measures the geometry, checks the material, and emails you back days later. The number you actually need is per part, delivered, with the material included.

That is what our engine computes: it reads your file's real geometry — cut length, pierces, bends, welds — checks it against real tooling, and returns a per-part price you can order at, in seconds. If a feature can't be manufactured, you find out before the price, not after the deposit.

HOW IT WORKS

See your exact price in three steps

1

Upload

Drop a STEP (3D) or DXF (2D) file on the homepage. No account needed to see your price.

2

Verify and price

Our engine checks every feature against real tooling and prices the part in seconds — material, cutting, bends, welds and finish.

3

We fabricate and ship

Laser cut, bend, weld, finish, pack and ship from our Querétaro plant — across Mexico and the US.

Typical production for stocked materials: 2–5 business days. Every quote shows its own lead time.

Frequently asked questions

Why don't you publish a price list?

Because no two parts cost the same — geometry, material and quantity change everything. Instead of a misleading table, the quoting engine is free and instant: upload your file and see the real price for your exact part.

Is there a minimum order?

No minimums — one prototype quotes and ships just like a production batch.

Does quoting cost anything? Do I need an account?

Quoting is free and requires no account. You only create one when you decide to order.

What does the price include?

Material, laser cutting, bending, welding and finish — itemized in the quote so you can see what drives your cost. Shipping is quoted separately by destination, or free if you pick up at the plant.

Do prices drop with quantity?

Yes — nesting efficiency and amortized setup lower the per-part price as quantity grows. Change the quantity in the quote and watch the price update.

Is the quote an estimate or a real price?

A real price — every quote is verified for manufacturability before you see it, and you can place the order at that price on the spot. It is not a ballpark subject to review.
